Gloucestershire First operates advisory panels to gain direct input from businesses and others to benefit the economic development of the County.
Various advisory panels have been established to underpin and support the aims and objectives of the Gloucestershire First Partnership. Certain panels continue as standing groups but others are formed to meet specific needs and will have a limited life span.
Membership of panels is substantially from the private sector recruited to provide a balanced representation across sectors and geographic areas with advisers attending as necessary to provide specific guidance.
All groups act in an advisory capacity to the Board in their own specialist area. Outcomes are reported to the Partnership together with recommendations for action.
Economic Strategy Advisory Panel
This panel is charged with researching and understanding the internal and external economic issues relevant to the County and translating these into the Gloucestershire Economic Strategy and Action Plan. In the process it will monitor regional planning and other activities as well as maintaining a watching brief on key issues including infrastructure priorities.
